Career

In 2021, during her undergraduate English degree at Virginia Commonwealth University, [5]

Garrett stared in her first comedic performance at Coalition Theater Richmond. Her clown routine of a mover who couldn't roll a rug landed her a spot on the Improv House team "Cuz we're Sisters" the following spring. [6]

The following year, she and co-writer and collaborator Eli Kaplan (Reductress, HBO) created MAYA!, a comedy variety show highlighting character, clown and stand up comics in Lower Manhattan. [7] The show was highlighted in doNYC's top comedy shows to see, and Broadwayworlds Off-off Broadway Staff Pick. [8]

In fall 2023, Garrett studied Clown and Comedic play with legendary clown Philip Gaulier in Etampas France and took instruction from American clown Zach Zucker. Her training led her to write and perform famous sketches including "Boy Tap", a 5 min. comedic dance routine of angsty privileged boys in jazz class and "Charisma Solutions" a absurdist sketch of Australian lifestyle coaches determined to reverse jaded personalities with a single fashion accessory. [9] In 2024, Garrett and Plan began posting videos to Tiktok of various impersonations and sketches, such as "Chic Narcoleptic", "All Samantha-Jones Friend Group",

"Man on the Street with NYU TISH Dance Major" and "Someone who thinks they are always on 'What Would You Do'" [10] The Duo's comedic skits have been met with positive response from fans and celebrities alike, including Jane Wickline, Kylie Breakman, and strangers on the internet who have said: " I thought you two were lip syncing to an audio clip and was so impressed by how on point your impressions were"[11], and "I’m going to the gym and when I come back this better have a million likes" [12] idk what this is but we definitely need more of it [13].
